Weekly Site Checklist

A quick checklist to help you keep on top of site safety.

Please complete the weekly site checklist every week to ensure the site safety status is recorded and up to date. We recommend completing it each Friday at the beginning of the day.

Confirm closure of all items from the previous checklist.

Ensure everyone on site has completed their safety induction.

Verify that all companies have submitted Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) as required.

Assess the need for a toolbox talk with onsite trades to discuss current safety concerns.

Check if any incidents have occurred that require completing an injury report.

Ensure the first aid kit is fully stocked and easily accessible.

Identify and eliminate any potential tripping hazards.

Maintain a clean site by removing rubbish and debris promptly.

Check stored materials for potential risks of becoming airborne in high winds.

Confirm all electrical extension leads are elevated off the ground.

Check that all electrical tools have been safety tagged and are within their inspection date.

Ensure any open trenches or holes are adequately covered or barricaded.

Ensure all scaffold platforms are clean and free from falling object risks.

Confirm no unauthorized alterations have been made to the scaffold by someone other than a licensed scaffolder.

Check all scaffold soleplates for proper bearing and signs of erosion due to rain.

Verify that stairwell voids are equipped with handrails, midrails, and kickboards.

Ensure that site lighting is sufficient and appropriately arranged.

Inspect all temporary fall protection systems to confirm they are in safe working order.

Check that the semi-permanent ladder (first-floor access) is securely fixed at both the top and bottom and is at the correct 1/4 slope ratio.

Ensure that amenities, including the site toilet, are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
